Merchants say this connector saves significant bookkeeping time by eliminating double entry between Shopify and QuickBooks. When configured correctly, syncing is fast, reliable, and errors are easy to fix. Many like workflows that import all sales as Sales Receipts to Undeposited Funds for smoother reconciliation and better sales tax reporting. Support is frequently praised as patient, knowledgeable, and hands-on with setup, cleanup, and resolving sync issues.
I have used Quickbooks Online for years, but have never integrated our Shopify account. The process was pretty seamless, but where the service really shined was with the support staff. Jenny was incredibly helpful and took her time with me. We were able to communicate via chat for about 2 hours while she answered all of my questions and concerns. By the end of our session I left feeling more confident about the connector and the role it would serve for our business model. Great support from Maycel. We contacted the QuickBooks Connector team after the upgrade to the new connector and Maycel was quick, patient and precise: she went through each issue with us, opened a ticket for the development team and kept everything clear. The connector itself syncs our Shopify orders reliably (amounts and dates match Shopify to the cent), but for an Italian company selling across the EU there are still gaps: VAT codes on discount lines, 25% VAT rates matched to the wrong country, no class mapping yet, and no buyer name on receipts when customer tracking is off. The support experience made the difference.
Since the update they really dropped the ball... making everything so difficult for a month now. The app was perfect and they bricked it... We have to do so much manually it just makes no sense, can't imagine an even bigger company then ours. Hope they fix it soon.
